Dos Equis Pavilion History
Set in the National Historic Landmark environs of Fair Park, the Dos Equis Pavilion has been synonymous with music in Dallas since it first opened as the Coca-Cola Starplex Amphitheatre in 1988. It’s been the Smirnoff Music Centre, Superpages.com Center and Gexa Energy Pavilion in between, finally becoming the Dos Equis Pavilion in 2018. Over the years the venue has hosted music festivals making a major cultural impact, like Lollapalooza, the H.O.R.D.E. tour, Lilith Fair, Ozzfest and the Vans Warped Tour.
Dos Equis Pavilion Performers
Between the epochal festivals and high-profile concerts, you’d be hard-pressed to find a legendary performer in any genre who hasn’t appeared at Dos Equis Pavilion. Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra, Tom Petty, Cher, Miles Davis, Metallica, Gloria Estefan, Snoop Dogg, Dolly Parton, Janet Jackson — the list is as long as it is jaw-dropping.
Planning Your Visit to the Dos Equis Pavilion
