House of Blues Las Vegas History
The House of Blues Las Vegas opened in 1999 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, becoming a beloved venue for fans craving the best concerts and entertainment. HoB Las Vegas prides itself on “unity in diversity” — you’ll see both legends and up-and-comers play beneath the original MGM Grand chandelier that hangs above the main floor and stage.
House of Blues Las Vegas Performers
As with any proper House of Blues opening, HoB Las Vegas had the Blues Brothers cut the ribbon in 1999. Perhaps the most unforgettable subsequent opening show was from Bob Dylan, who pulled U2’s Bono up on stage to lend a hand. HoB Las Vegas has welcomed residencies from rock icons like David Lee Roth, Billy Idol and, notably, Carlos Santana with his long-running “Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live.” The Killers played a show here in 2004. The diverse programming has also included Nas, Daniela Mercury and Clairo. And of course, the famous House of Blues Gospel Brunch goes down Sundays at 10am and 1pm.
