Your Quick & Easy Guide To The House of Blues Orlando, FL

House of Blues Orlando History

House of Blues Orlando is part of bustling Disney Springs, an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment complex at the Walt Disney World Resort. Opened in 1997, the concert hall was inspired by the original House of Blues in Massachusetts’ Harvard Square. Cofounded by Isaac Tigrett (who also started Hard Rock Cafe) and comedian Dan Aykroyd, the House of Blues franchise is dedicated to preserving the traditions of the South through music, art and cuisine. From the outside, the Orlando location looks like a rustic bayou-style house; on the inside, guests enjoy an expansive, state-of-the-art concert hall decorated with the mesmerizing artwork of Mr. Imagination. It also features the House of Blues’ signature “Crazy Quilt” stage curtains and box of Delta Mississippi mud, which is stored under the stage “to ensure that every artist has the roots and the spirit of the South planted beneath their feet.”
