Your Quick & Easy Guide To Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI

Little Caesars Arena History

Upon opening in 2015, Little Caesars Arena became the new home of both the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings and NBA’s Detroit Pistons (who previously occupied the Joe Louis Arena and Palace in Auburn Hills, respectively) and a premier concert destination. The 20,000-capacity venue is the cornerstone of District Detroit, a new entertainment and office hub in the heart of the city’s revived downtown. And the arena’s dazzling indoor concourse — which offers the feel of an outdoor street market, thanks to its glass ceilings — is a year-round destination even when there are no events happening.

Little Caesars Arena Performers

Who better to cut the ribbon on the Little Caesars stage than Michigan native son Kid Rock, who inaugurated the venue in 2017 with a staggering six performances in one week. And in its first year, Little Caesars welcomed in everyone from Ed Sheeran and Paul McCartney to Lady Gaga and JAY-Z. More recently, the venue has hosted a procession of stars that include Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion.
