USANA Amphitheatre History
Located on a scenic hill in West Valley City, Utah — about 16 miles southwest of Salt Lake City — the USANA Amphitheatre hosts some of the biggest concerts and festivals in the state. Opened in 2003, the spacious outdoor venue is named for West Valley City’s USANA Health Sciences Inc., a nutritional supplements producer, and it’s proud to be one of the greenest amphitheaters in the country with eco-friendly essentials like recyclable beverage cups and carpool lots.
USANA Amphitheatre Performers
The Beach Boys were the first performers to grace the USANA Amphitheatre stage as part of the patriotic Red Hot 4th celebration in July 2003. That same year, the Lollapalooza festival came rolling through, while Maroon 5, Phish, Bob Dylan, Radiohead and Metallica were among the biggest bands to appear at the new venue. Since, the USANA has brought in a wide range of acts in rock, pop, country, metal, hip-hop, comedy and beyond, including Florida Georgia Line, Dave Matthews Band, Ozzy Osbourne and Snoop Dogg.
Planning Your Visit to USANA Amphitheatre
No outside food or drinks are allowed inside the venue, so you’ll want to plan ahead. Within a 10-minute drive are great Mexican spots like El Rancho Grande, known for their overstuffed enchiladas, and La Rinconada, where the carnitas will leave you licking your plate. Meanwhile, Ab’s Drive-In is a favorite spot to fill up on burgers, fries, shakes, and a healthy dose of nostalgia.
